Hadimba Devi Temple
Begin your day by visiting the Hadimba Devi Temple, a historic wooden temple built in 1553 and dedicated to Hadimba, the wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata. Nestled among tall deodar trees, the temple is known for its unique architecture — a four-tiered pagoda roof and intricately carved wooden doors. The peaceful surroundings and lush green forest make it an ideal spot for quiet reflection and photos.
Vashisht Temple & Hot Water Springs
Next, head to the Vashisht Temple, located across the Beas River. This ancient temple is dedicated to sage Vashisht and is famous for its natural hot water springs. The geothermal waters here are believed to have healing properties, and visitors can take a relaxing dip in the public bath areas. The setting offers a blend of spirituality and natural wellness
Manu Temple
Continue to the Manu Temple, the only temple in India dedicated to the sage Manu, the legendary creator of mankind in Hindu mythology. Situated in the old part of Manali, the temple provides insight into the region’s deep-rooted spiritual beliefs. The path to the temple passes through narrow lanes and traditional Himachali houses, giving a glimpse into local life.
Club House
After the spiritual visits, enjoy some recreational time at the Club House. This government-run facility is popular with families and kids, offering indoor games like table tennis, carrom, and pool. There are also boating options and a small shopping area with handicraft stalls and snack outlets, perfect for a short fun break.
Tibetan Monastery and Van Vihar
Visit the peaceful Tibetan Monastery, adorned with colorful prayer flags and Buddhist art. It's a tranquil spot for spiritual seekers and those curious about Tibetan culture. Right nearby is Van Vihar, a small nature park with tall pine trees, benches, and a man-made pond where you can enjoy a relaxing paddle boat ride or a quiet stroll.
Mall Road
In the late afternoon, head to Mall Road, the commercial heart of Manali. Spend time shopping for souvenirs like woollen clothes, shawls, hand-woven carpets, and Kullu caps. You can also explore cozy cafés, street food stalls, and bakeries that offer everything from momos to hot chocolate. Don’t forget to bargain while buying local handicrafts and woollens from Tibetan markets nearby.
