Ayurveda & Rejuvenation Escape
Kochi, Kumarakom, and Kovalam are three prominent tourist destinations in Kerala, each offering a unique travel experience. Kochi is known for its rich historical heritage, colonial architecture, and vibrant cultural life, including the famous Chinese fishing nets and Fort Kochi. The city blends tradition with modernity, making it a gateway to Kerala tourism. Kumarakom is a serene backwater destination located near Vembanad Lake, famous for its houseboats, lush greenery, and bird sanctuary. It is an ideal place for nature lovers seeking peace and relaxation. Kovalam, on the other hand, is renowned for its crescent-shaped beaches and scenic coastline. The lighthouse beach and Ayurvedic resorts attract visitors from around the world. Together, these destinations showcase Kerala’s diverse natural beauty, culture, and hospitality.

Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport, inbound guests will be warmly welcomed by our professional English-speaking tour guide and chauffeur, who will assist with luggage and provide a brief orientation about Kerala and the tour ahead. Guests will then be transferred in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to a carefully selected wellness-oriented hotel in Kochi, known for its tranquil ambience and traditional Kerala hospitality. After check-in, time is allotted to relax and recover from the international journey.
Later in the afternoon, guests will proceed for a guided heritage sightseeing tour of Kochi, one of India’s most fascinating port cities. The tour includes a visit to the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, a living symbol of Kochi’s maritime history, followed by a stroll through Fort Kochi, where colonial architecture narrates stories of Portuguese, Dutch, and British influence. Guests will also visit St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India, and Santa Cruz Basilica, admired for its Indo-European design.
The tour continues to Jew Town and the Paradesi Synagogue area, offering insight into Kochi’s multicultural legacy (subject to local opening days). In the evening, guests will enjoy a traditional Kathakali or Kalaripayattu performance, providing a deeper understanding of Kerala’s classical art forms. The day concludes with a traditional Kerala dinner at the hotel, highlighting local spices and flavors, followed by an overnight stay in Kochi.
Overnight at Kochi Resort.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, guests will check out and begin their guided drive to Kumarakom, a serene backwater destination set on the banks of Vembanad Lake. En route, the guide will explain the region’s rural lifestyle, agriculture, and water-based economy. Upon arrival, guests will check in to a premium wellness resort, beautifully surrounded by coconut groves, lagoons, and lush greenery, offering an ideal atmosphere for relaxation and healing.
After lunch on own cost and some time at leisure, guests will experience their first Ayurvedic therapy session, conducted under the supervision of qualified Ayurvedic doctors and trained therapists. This personalized treatment focuses on relaxation, detoxification, and overall well-being, making it ideal after long travel.
The remainder of the afternoon is free to enjoy resort facilities such as the infinity pool, herbal gardens, yoga pavilion, or lakeside relaxation areas. In the evening, guests may take a guided walk through nearby villages, observing traditional homes, paddy fields, and local interactions. A nutritious and authentic Kerala dinner will be served at the resort, followed by an overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Overnight at Kumarakom Resort.
Following a relaxed breakfast at the resort, guests will embark on a full day guided backwaters sightseeing experience, one of the most iconic elements of Kerala tourism. Guests will cruise through tranquil canals and vast backwater stretches aboard a traditional houseboat or comfortable country boat, gliding past palm-lined waterways, paddy fields, and picturesque villages. The guide will interpret daily life along the backwaters, including fishing techniques, coir-making, toddy tapping, and water-based transport.
During the cruise, guests will enjoy a locally inspired lunch prepared with fresh regional ingredients (optional based on arrangement), allowing them to savor authentic Kerala flavors. The journey continues through narrow canals and open lake views, offering excellent opportunities for photography and peaceful relaxation.
By late afternoon, guests return to the resort, where the evening is free to enjoy sunset views over Vembanad Lake, indulge in spa relaxation areas, or simply unwind in the natural surroundings on own. The day concludes with a sumptuous dinner at the resort, followed by an overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Overnight at Kumarakom Resort.
After breakfast at the resort, guests will check out and proceed on a scenic guided drive towards Kovalam, Kerala’s renowned beach destination along the Arabian Sea. The journey offers glimpses of rural landscapes, bustling towns, and coastal scenery. Upon arrival, guests will check in to a beachside wellness resort, designed to blend natural surroundings with comfort and holistic healing.
After some leisure time, guests will enjoy their second and final Ayurvedic therapy session, carefully planned to complement the earlier treatment and enhance relaxation, balance, and rejuvenation. The therapy is followed by free time to relax by the beach, enjoy the ocean breeze, or participate in optional wellness activities such as meditation or light yoga.
In the evening, guests may enjoy a sunset walk along Kovalam Beach, witnessing the changing hues of the sky and the rhythm of coastal life. A freshly prepared dinner at the hotel, featuring coastal Kerala specialties and seafood options, will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Kovalam.
Overnight at Kovalam Resort.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests will begin a guided sightseeing tour of Kovalam and its surroundings. The tour includes visits to Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach, and Samudra Beach, each offering a distinct character—from lively shores to peaceful coastal stretches. Guests may also visit the Vizhinjam fishing harbor, where they can observe traditional fishing boats, auctions, and the vibrant daily routine of local fishermen.
Later, guests will have time to explore local markets and handicraft shops, ideal for purchasing souvenirs, spices, and handmade products. The afternoon is kept at leisure for beach relaxation, swimming, or enjoying resort facilities. Guests may also opt for non-Ayurvedic wellness activities such as foot reflexology or relaxation therapies (optional).
In the evening, a guided local dining experience allows guests to enjoy Kerala’s coastal cuisine and traditional preparations. The day ends with a farewell dinner at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in Kovalam.
Overnight at Kovalam Resort.
After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, guests will check out and be transferred with the guide to Trivandrum International Airport. Assistance will be provided for departure procedures, marking the conclusion of a carefully curated Kerala wellness and cultural journey. Guests depart with enriching memories of Ayurvedic healing, serene backwaters, vibrant heritage, and Kerala’s warm hospitality.
